A Look at Carpet Cleaning Methods

They say you never have a second chance to make a first impression. True as it may be, most of us take this simple saying for granted. Carpet cleaning should be of priority in our lives. Most experts advise that one should consult a reputed company to help you decide on the method to use. Two methods may be used.

The hot water extraction method (also known as the Warm water extraction method)- recommended by most manufactures and cleaners. This type is unbeatable in the removal of minute particles hidden between the fibers. The method is based on the use of a fine spray of water that forces the dirt out, which is then sucked by the vacuum slot. Detergent or water may be sprayed. It is then recovered together with the dirt using a vacuum into the holding tank. The system used may be portable or truck mounted. The latter prevents the re-circulation of dirt and humidity.

Another method used to carry out carpet cleaning is based on using either dry foam, dry chemicals, or dry compounds. Usually, a shampoo is used when one is carrying out the dry foam method. Drying is done followed by vacuuming. In the dry chemical method, the detergent is applied to the fabric as the machine spins from a large bonnet from side to side. This continues until the bonnet saturates with dirt, after which it is replaced. The dry compound method sawdust may be spread on the fabric. This is then brushed by the machine that is later vacuumed to remove the dirt.

Carpet cleaning may be done by vacuuming. As for the portable machines, hot water should be used. Drying must be done quickly.
