You can do it yourself, but it is best to have a professional to come down and take care of the task. Pressure washing can be customized based on the demanding surface. It might be required to use a hot water stream for grease spots and sticky dirt on the sidewalk and driveway but would do only a little good to the plants around so you need to be careful. Only cold water streams should be used when dealing with wooden decks as they may get damaged due to high temperatures. So it really depends on the nature of the surface you are dealing with and a pressure washer would do it for you.
